Intrusive ads slowing the site down these are the reasons I use ad block however can't use it on any Johnson Press site. Not worth the effort trying to find ways round it anyway.
Interested in real local news not negative weather reporting & exaggerated fake news.
Definitely a niche in the market folks for freelance journalism in your area now if you want to bring the latest up to date real news.

One of the worst websites I have come across, the sheer volume of adverts crashes the site and the pop-up ads are often insensitive to the story (e.g. couple killed in car smash with a large car sales ad in the middle of the article). The reporting is lacklustre and the stories are out of date by the time they are posted with most of the images that accompany them made up of stock pictures or google earth screen grabs. The comments sections are full of some of the worst hate-filled tripe going.

Appalling website when it allows you to read the stories. Very often not relevant to lancashire very little journalism just rehashing of stories found elsewhere. It's a shame I used to enjoy the LEP before it became part of the corporate media circus
