The tastiest Coronation Chicken sandwich with side salad and coleslaw. I over did it with the blueberry muffin and quietly waddled out there to the far end of the platform only to spot a meadow pipit in the garden there. Oh my, what a lovely day.

As a cyclist I visit LOTS of cafes, I don't often leave reviews but after visiting this fabulous place (31/7/24) I felt compelled to do so, they've just got everything right! called in after riding some brutal hills in the north Pennines, lovely quaint railway station, beautifully decorated and airy inside, with outdoor seating in the sun, and covered outdoor seating on the platform, very clean modern toilets... This definately isn't a greasy spoon, the food is top quality, I opted for a lovely veg soup / sourdough bread, with some lovely fries, my mate had what he said was a 'fabulous' panini, beautifully presented and competatively priced, we even had the train ? depart right from our table, how cool is that? The owners (fellow cyclists) even managed to find the time for a chat even though they were busy, and the young lady who served us was lovely and polite, it's a 10/10 from me

Stopped by on Sunday as part of a large group. There was 15+ of us so probably bit of a shock to the staff for us to appear but they managed us very well. Very friendly and welcoming. Coffee was excellent, I had a brownie which was delicious. Cooked breakfasts looked great too. Definitely recommend to visit. Set in lovely surroundings.

Fantastic little cafe. Very welcoming on arrival, fantastic food. Best tuna melt panini I've ever had! And an added bonus for being dog-friendly as Millie enjoyed her treat as well 🙂

Part of 13 Saab cars who visited, made to feel very welcome, sorry you were closed by time we passed yesterday 27th May on our way back from Wales! Little present will be on its way soon, as you both showed an interest in an item we were both wearing, of something close to both your hearts!

Really comfy, friendly cafe. Dogs are welcome and even given treats. They were willing to to make a tasty sandwich with gluten free bread although not made in a gluten free environment. We had to wait 20min for the food to arrive but we were kept informed of the wait and how long it would be.
