Prominent local landmark completed in 1895 honouring a local civic bigwig whose bronze obverse likeness is fixed in a circular niche in the horizontal brickwork banding.
An exuberant encyclopaedia of flamboyant Victorian design flourishes.
A paragon of piffle still commanding attention, taking precedence on the streetscape.

Explored Crouch Hill and Crouch End streets today - despite most shops still being closed there is a nice buzz and an eclectic mix of charity shops, high end design/decor boutiques and Waitrose - along with the usual suspects and unprepossessing Tesco as usual - lots of Middle Eastern men outside vibey Turkish coffee shops and busy barbers (I always wonder where their women are ?‍♂️) perhaps its like a golf thing ?
