The heater was not working in our room. Irena came to investigate straight away. Then checked again when we went for a meal, she then got us an additional heater.
Excellent service from her, especially as it was very busy on the desk.
The restaurant is under renovation but the breakfast was good and the plates were hot. Most premier inns do not have a plate warmer. The serving staff were friendly and efficient...

Excellent value stay, very clean a well appointed room. Really welcoming and helpful staff. Great shower. The staff were great at managing the food allergy (nut, diary and egg) for one of our party. A shame the Beef Eater had closed, but the alternative offering was perfectly adequate.

My husband needed surgery so I was looking for a hotel close to the hospital. Premier Inn is a ‘safe’ brand and the location of the hotel was safe so we booked on the basis of needing a bed for me for the night. What I received was so much more. The staff were so friendly and, on understanding my situation, so kind in helping me make the best of my situation, including support with extending my stay, good options, taxis to the hospital etc. Everyone I spoke with, including receptionists, breakfast staff and domestics, were all willing to help and wanted to be sure I had everything I needed. This made such a difference at a difficult time.||Also a shout out to the breakfast which I hadn’t planned to bother with but was brilliant value and delicious!

We had a very spacious family room which was clean and had everything we needed in it. Check in was easy and the lady behind the desk went above and beyond and gave my 3 year old daughter some Christmas gingerbread biscuits that she was so happy about, it was a really nice touch. (We checked in around 22:15 on 06/11/2024, I didn’t manage to get her name but hope she gets recognised for going above and beyond!)

This place genuinely could not have been better! They don't have beds, they have CLOUDS! The staff were incredible too, they made us feel so welcome. Shout out to Mon, she went above and beyond when she really didn't need to. A queen and an inspiration, we should all be more Mon. 11/10.

It was a great nights sleep but I had had a very busy day with long drive also. So I was knackered. The hotel it’s self looks tired but once inside it was fine. The check in was quick and staff friendly but the room was not great there was a smell of damp and after moving the curtains in the morning there was mould showing on the walls and skirting . As it was just a one night stay it seamed pointless to complain. The restaurant bar was shut at times as it was being renovated, which was a pain.

I hate to post negative reviews. This though is easily the worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed at (and I've stayed at a good number). Nothing wrong with the room, as comfortable as ever but the food offering and service were absolutely shocking. I'm told it switched from a Beefeater a few months ago and is now just a "restaurant" to service the hotel. Whatever it is it's awful. I had to wait an age for service and food and it was poor to be honest. There were a lot of disgruntled people there venting their frustration. One guy had been there for over 50 minutes and hadn't even had his order taken. Basic mistakes. My dessert was supposed to be Vanilla ice cream sprinkled with crushed flake. The ice cream wasn't Vanilla (it was some tasteless blanco variety) and there was no flake. I'll never go back. Based on some of the comments I heard neither will most of the people there that evening. At £136 just for the room with food on top I was massively disappointed

Worse Premier Inn we have stayed at. At time of booking no mention of Hotel going through upgrade, a bit naughty we thought. Only received an email day before check in, informing us of upgrade being done. The new dining area in Hotel is not ready yet, so still using old building. Not a welcoming area. Went for evening meal, found out it was a reduced menu and no draught beer, only bottles, which we were charged £19 for four small bottles of lager (two Heineken and two Peroni) well overpriced in my opinion. Room had faulty ceiling light, constantly flashing, told reception, and granted, they gave us another room. Staff OK, nothing special. If you are staying in this area, try the Premier Inn in the town centre, more local to all amenities.
