Not what it used to be, alas. Spent and mis-spent many a night here over many years. In those days (1980s to c. 2008) it was the local venue. Great staff, great beer, and a real sense of the working man's club unchanged from, perhaps, 1925. Went there as last venue on a very civilised stag in my home village. Refused service 11.01. Steward was about as sour as lemon. Place devoid of custom. Needed the sure and steady hands of previous management.
