We stopped for lunch and play along the beach. Really busy as August and had to wait over half an hour for table but the food was so worth the wait. Kids ordered fish and chips and you could tell it was beautifully freshly fried with lovely homemade tartar sauce. We had burgers topped with pork belly lovely too, but homemade beef brisket was the best of the three.

Great campsite with sea views. Caravans/motorhomes and tents along with separate section for statics. Toilets clean but basic. Three showers each for male and female which were push button, not my fav, but did the job. Fabulous "cafe" on site which was more like a restaurant. The food was really lovely and at reasonable prices. I had a Salt marsh lamb Sunday roast which was beautiful and my other half had a burger, which was huge, We were both stuffed afterwards, but as usual, hubby managed a pudding, Lemon cheese cake which was also divine. If you don't come to camp, come for a dining experience, it's well worth it.

Just returned from a couple of days camping. The site is excellent, the grass is kept beautiful. There are a number if options for camping, with or without EDH. You could take your pick where you wished to make camp. There were hardstanding available overlooking the bay. Toilet facilities were very clean. Showers were got but was a push button system which is difficult when trying to wash your hair.
Waste disposal and water supply.
Local pub near by the royal hotel, food is excellent and dog friendly. Lovely walks along the bay. Walked into Carnforth took 1 hour.
Will defo go back.
Didn't use the cafe but it looked nice.
Reasonable rates to camp.

Great campsite, run by the same family since 1947. Really friendly people. Fantastic views of morecambe Bay, Silverdale, etc. Love the website and the booking process. It is really easy to book your favourite pitch,if it's still available? Could do with a couple more taps. That's my only negative thing to say.
The Royal Hotel about a mile walk away is a great place for a drink with a fantastic beer garden. The cafe on site has really amazing cakes, and their menu looks lovely .

This is a mixed bag experience. We came AFTER the kids went back to school. We have been to this campsite 4 times due to its location, it's gorgeous, the facilities are excellent, the shower block and toilets are very clean the majority of the time. It would be hard for children to push the toilet pad and hold it which you have to do. The timer on taps is annoying but it is what it is, travel from home is just over an hour, the cut out camp pitches are great and from Tuesday to Friday evening, it was sooo peaceful. I'm actually sitting now listening to banging club music... Hoards of mogadons with an all about me attitude turn up, slam THEIR CHOICE of music on and to hell with everyone else. Their is a review that mentions boundaries, there are none unless you're on the pitches that have been cut out... Kids... Screaming, running very close to your tent, kicking their balls near you, parents not checking them. I would give this campsite a 5 if not for the selfish people and their offspring. Wish part of the site was adults only and no music. The trouble with people playing music is then others don't want to listen to that choice so put on their own, before you know it, it's sensory torture. I want to listen to the natural sounds around me not some selfish kn0b who thinks the world revolves around them. The site does say about noise but as I've said 4th visit and these idiots still crack on. I wouldn't say avoid the site as the good far outweighs the bad, it's the people and possibly the site owners not putting a stop to it. We didn't eat at the Archers although it looks lovely.
