Excellent service from Chris and team. The finished slate house name is absolutely stunning. The depth of the carving and thickness of the slate were perfect. It was good to be able to speak to the people making the sign, and exchange emails to finalize the design. Chris suggested having the font infill with silver (rather than the gold we had originally envisaged) and it looked much better. I found this company whilst browsing the Web for a slate house name sign for my Daughter, who lives in Jersey. I was initially attracted by the fact that they used Welsh slate and thought that it would be a fitting gift, seeing as we are Welsh. I decided to give them a call and discuss the possibility of having the sign made in time for our planned trip to Jersey, although our departure date was within several weeks. I spoke to Chris who assured me that he could get it finished and delivered before I set off. I made my choices of size and font style etc, and i have to say that true to his word, the sign arrived the week before we left and was packed so well that I decided to leave it in its wrapping until we arrived in Jersey. I am posting a picture of the name plate which we managed to fit before our return and as the saying goes " A picture paints a thousand words". Thank you Chris, at Manford Slate & Stone, for your help and guidance through the whole process of crafting this beautiful gift for my daughter and for going above and beyond.
