I recently moved to an area virgin media do not cover so as per routine I contacted them to break my contract early to which they agreed there would be no charge as it was a network issue not personal choice, flash forward a month and I am charged £221 as a cancellation fee which I have in writing I do not owe. Naturally I call customer services to have it rectified and paid back, the customer service team were very helpful and informed me it was absolutely virgins mistake however the best they could do is pay me back with a check that would take 35 days to arrive, I complained about this procedure as this could lead to serious financial troubles for some people/families especially given the current climate to which I was greeted with the response “it’s how we’ve always done it” none of my concerns were addressed and the customer service person on the call could only offer to ask the finance team to speed up sending my check. Needless to say this is completely unsatisfactory and now all I can do is hope my bank can do something for me otherwise I will have to wait over a month to receive my own money which was wrongfully taken from me.

Whilst my complaint is NOT for this store directly. Virgin media are hard to track down. Now this is unbelievable. I had virgin media engineering team drilling into the side of my property. Trying to install a box I had not asked for. In fact i didnt even speak to Virgin. When asking what they were doing. They asked was my name and number. Neither was it me or my number. they replied this is the 2nd one today. So virgin media sales people are falsely putting through sales with people that dont exist and fake numbers. Now where is the right to ask for compensation. Damage to my property. Virgin you are the biggest bunch of clowns.
