I have rented a unit from Start and Co for over 7 years, having just sold the business and passed on the lease with it.
From dealing with Brian and then his sons, I have found them quite unusual in the world of estate agents (in my experience anyway), being helpful and honourable, and sticking to their word.

They helped repair issues with the property although knowing the lease was full repairing and insuring- meaning they could have easily reminded me of my obligations and not helped.

They were easy to deal with when renewing the lease, were very realistic about rent increases (not changing them for the whole term) and were encouraging and helpful with the new owner.

I am happy to say that I would not hesitate to use them again, and like to give positive feedback when it is deserved.

This is a somewhat different review, since I am writing this as the purchaser of a house that Start is the selling agent for, rather than as the seller who has contracted Start to sell the house. However, I would still like to record my appreciation for the really good service that Victoria and Miles at Start provided in making sure that all my queries regarding the house were responded to promptly and there was minimal delay in getting responses from the seller. Buying a house is always a stressful experience, but Victoria and Miles made sure that both the seller and I were always immediately informed about issues as they arose, even to the extent of Victoria checking in on me periodically to see whether there was any further information that I required. As a consequence, I have no difficulty in awarding them and Start five stars in this review.

If you are looking to sell your home, we would highly recommend Start & Co, especially Miles. Over the years my wife & I have moved home several times. Miles at Start & Co, has been the best by far, of any other estate agents we have ever dealt with. Unfortunately our sale was very challenging. However, Miles was always on hand, patient, caring & professional. He really went above & beyond. Pardon the pun, he is miles above the rest. So if you want the best agent, with fair fees. Give Start & Co a go, ask for Miles.
