Just moved to the area, have been in here a few times to pick up and send parcels. Staff have been polite and helpful each time, store is well stocked too. Parking is a bit awkward but that can't be changed with the location.

Helpful staff, very useful store and post office, can even take cash out easier from the post office counter.
Be even better once Amazon returns and Evri scan and drop is in place. Be good if there was a in postlocker service as well.

Went in with a parcel for the post office at 2.30 pm. Shop assistant said that the post office was closed due to being short staffed - apart from me and a man behind me there was no-one else in the shop and they were not busy. I have been in there before and done parcels when there was only one person serving - I had one measly parcel for crying out loud how long would it of took? This isn't the first time this has happened. They should be ashamed to call themselves a post office a lot of people (especially the elderly) can't get to another post office.

Very poor service. A most miserable, unfriendly place. Compared with what it used to be like some years ago under a previous owner, whose prices were fair, and always greeted you warmly, served you quickly and efficiently, AND got involved in the village, the atmosphere in this place is sadly lacking.

Though they occasionally have a few offers, prices on the whole are sky high. The odd penny or two on milk, as an example, is acceptable, but here be prepared to pay over 50% more than in a supermarket.

Queues for the counter often stretch to the back of the shop with usually only one till open. There seems to be no system in place (such as ringing a bell to get assistance), to alleviate queues at busier times, like most stores of this size. That means that as soon as someone comes with a parcel to post, those in the queue just wanting a paper or a few sweets have to wait and wait and wait. When they eventually get served there is no apology, and you get the impression that you are an inconvenience to them rather than a valued customer.

Today, all wanted was a paper. There was a very elderly man behind me in the queue, and an elderly lady behind him, both just wanting papers and both having difficulty standing. There were two people on the tills (unusually) but as the person on the one till finished his business and left, the assistant walked away. When I questioned him, concerned more for the people behind me, he told me brusquely that he was only in "post office duty" and that we would have to wait for the other till longer. When we eventually got served, I complained but received no apology, only that things were "going to get better". Well, they could hardly get worse.

Though it is further away, if I need anything substantial, I go to the CoOp in Monkton HEATHFIELD where the range is better, and the people there actually trained in customer service.

Absolutely dreadful shop . Always a long que regardless if you want shop or post office.
Manager is rude and very unprofessional!
All the decent staff seem to have left months ago .
If your in a hurry avoid this shop !
Also there’s never any proper stock and half the things they do have are out of date ! Avoid !

This shop changes its post office times constantly and inconveniences everyone. The man that works in here is also so rude! Such a nice village pity there isn't a friendly helpful shop!

I deliberately go out of my way to use this Post Office and Shop.
Most things you need and staff always pleasant.

The manager is very Unpleasant and unprofessional. Some of the staff are nice but others are very rude . It has gone down hill since the last manager left .
It is no longer an enjoyable experience visiting this shop .
