We stayed as 2 x couples in The Pen and Cob rooms just round the corner from the pub and they were both delightful! Ground floor, so great for my parents who aren’t able to climb stairs. Lovely comfortable beds with quality bed linen, gorgeous complimentary toiletries and ample tea/coffee making facilities. We ate in the pub both nights, food and service were top notch. The pizza in the garden was fabulous! Breakfast, although continental, was plentiful and satisfies our needs although we did opt for a cooked breakfast one morning. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and professional. We will definitely return!

Set in a picture postcard village in the Cotswolds, the Swan Inn was everything I expected. A lovely olde world building with a nice pub and restaurant with a lovely warm, informal atmosphere. The food was excellent as was the service from friendly staff. The room was was beautiful with a comfy bed, nice bathroom, decent TV, WiFi and well stocked with tea / coffee and free bottles of water each day. As well the restaurant there is an internal courtyard to enjoy drinks or dinner alfresco with the added bonus of being able to order a freshly prepared pizza from the the woodfired oven. I’d recommend the Swan highly and would certainly stay here again. Its location is also good for touring the Cotswold area.

My second stay and even better than the first. I was upgraded to the cob - a beautiful round in an annex round the back. Beautifully decorated, quiet and amazing bathroom. I sat out in the garden for a drink in the evening - the pizza oven was churning out some gorgeous pizzas. Lovely breakfast. Great service. Great value.

We stayed at The Swan for by wive's birthday on sunny weekend in spring. The place as a whole was amazing and highly recommend. The staff were very welcoming and hospitable. We stayed in the Pen Room. It was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend having a few drinks in the garden while the sun is out and take in the fresh air. Luckily the waiters lit up the wire place outside for us a suggested we have dinner outside next to the fireplace. We were the only table outside next to the wire place which was really romantic and memorable to my wife and I. The food was amazing as well. We have the grilled sourdough (highly recommended), venison and salmon. The waiters were also very kind to bring us a cake with a candle and some sparking wine to celebrate my wife's birthday. The breakfast next morning was also very tasty. Overall a highly recommended place to stay at.

So very disappointed. I wanted a quirky boutique room above a pub with great service so booked 2 nights here for my partner's birthday. What we got was a room in need of an overhaul with no hot water.||Mould all over the windows and around the bath as well as a family of ants crawling around made it feel grubby. The carpets in the hallways were very heavily stained and it smelt fairly unpleasant.||Spoke with the GM about the hot water not being hot, and he came up with a thermometer and apologised saying the room needs to be patched (which begs the question why did they allow it to be occupied in the first place) and that he'd sort compensation for us not being able to eash. He offered to move us to a smaller room with just a shower and no freestanding bath, but it was 9pm and we were leaving at 9am and repacking seemed a waste of time. Five days later and mr and mrs smith (company we booked through) havent had a response.||Breakfast included refers only to a continental breakfast aswell- anything cooked has to be paid for as an additional cost. This surprised me for a room at this price point above a pub. On day one we received 2 sausages on a full english and day 2 we received 1. I asked for the second and it was added on the bill as an extra. I queried it and was told there should have been one, which i found an odd reaction.||Lastly- i did write on the reservation that it was a special occasion yet there was no mention of it. Small details like that being noted really do separate average places from ones that go above and beyond. Its why people return. ||Food was delicious and high quality; the lady on the bar with curly hair was lovely and helpful too. However, i wouldn't go back!!

Thank you to Emma for making us feel at home whilst being so accommodating knowing it was our first time taking our new puppy anywhere else but a pub / restaurant.

All staff had been great and very attentive to our wishes. Kudos to the GM for my 40th celebrations and the bonus ice cream. Hats off , thank you.

All food was great on the evening menu and the breakfast was ace.

The Cob suite was ultra clean and well presented whilst being fully stocked with everything you could want or need.

We would be happy to return , just lovely !

I cannot say enough good things about The Swan! It's a quaint country pub/hotel but is also quirky with bright & colourful decor. It's very cosy & welcoming & the staff are lovely. Nothing was too much trouble & they were very attentive. Dinner was absolutely amazing & I'd go so far as to say this was the best steak of my life! It was tender, juicy & just perfect! Just typing this, my mouth is watering all over again! The sweet potato fries were also delicious as was the garlic bread. Eventually, I had dessert which was a dark chocolate mousse with blackberry & hazelnut. Very decadent & the perfect amount to not be too much. Breakfast was included although they don't offer a full English. The toast & pastries in front of the fire was lovely though & I could have stayed all day.
The prices are high if you class it as a pub however, it's more fine dining & it was worth every penny & I'll definitely be going back. If I could give 6 stars, I would!
