A wonderful little bookshop around the corner with very friendly and informative staff. The selection for books here is very unique and you might even find a couple of hidden gems you may have been looking for. There’s even a shelf in the back of the shop, specialising in discounted books in great condition with low prices. I had to grab a couple of books here.

A wee bookshop in Portree. It has got a good collection of books. There is a section dedicated to the different aspects and culture of the Isle of Skye in this bookshop. They also sell lots of Maps(like trail maps) which can be handy for Hikers. The ambience and aura of Portree make this small bookshop an unavoidable visit.

I was well pleased to find this bookshop in Portree. As you might expect it has an Isle of Skye slant and why not, the Island has a fascinating history as well as amazing scenery. There was plenty choice including crime, autobiography, sport and history. They also have some maps and local guide books. It was good to support an independent bookshop and I hope it does well.

A great bookshop in Portree. The staff were big readers, super knowledgeable and helpful. They made thoughtful recommendations based on what we liked. The skew of material is obviously Skye and Highland based. The usual suspects of nature writing and Scottish popular history; Raynor Winn, Kathleen Jaimie, Robert Macfarlane, Alistair Moffat abound. But let the staff recommend some stuff as well and you'll be delighted with their suggestions.
