Good store with large choice of products for pets. It’s recently been refurbished so all new and clean. They don’t have all the products I need but giving it 5 stars because Randy is just one of the loveliest and most helpful person ever. Please protect him at all costs!

Absolutely outstanding service ? From reception to the vets nurses all of them are amazing. My cat Ace behaves more with these ladies than he ever does at home! They are truly amazing they genuinely care about your animals n not just money.

Absolutely vile experience!
From the moment i stepped into the store i was absolutely appalled by the service. I intended to purchase a fish and upon finally being greeted by a blonde female staff member she was extremely condescending ,arrogant and unhelpful.
After being left with such distasteful service i arrived several days later with the built up excitement and joy to finally purchase my fish only to be met with the sight of multiple dead fish in a plethora of the tanks! Not only is this an unpleasant sight however it also a bio hazard for the living fish! it should he common knowledge that any dead fish should be removed, as its body will quickly rot in the warm, bacteria-laden water. A corpse will pollute water, risking the health of other fish in the tank. If it died from disease the last thing you want is other fish consuming its body parts like i witnessed. I attempted to overlook this incident and put my trust in the fish care of this establishment and continued to purchase my fish.
Subsequently, upon arrival and sufficient set up my fish seemed to have fallen ill most likely from the severely decomposed fish in the tank at pets at home. Despite treating it with blue anti bacterial remedy solution its condition slowly deteriorated and it passed away less than a day of owning it. I am completely shocked at the lack of care for the fish and horrible treatment they undergo. Not only was my fish ill upon arrival but also its fins and swim pattern were unusual. As a marine biologist i do not recommend purchasing fish here and would advise all to head up to osterly for a slightly more expensive but fantastic experience with fish.

Deeply Disappointing and Disturbing Experience at Pets at Home, Brentford (Happened Today)

I am extremely disheartened and upset by my experience at the Pets at Home store in Brentford today. I had been waiting patiently for assistance, hoping to get some advice about pets. I was next in line, standing there for quite a while, but when the staff member—a large white woman with glasses—became available, she completely ignored me. Instead of acknowledging my presence, she chose to assist a customer who arrived after me, blatantly skipping over me as if I didn’t exist.

When I finally mustered up the courage to speak up and politely reminded her that I had been waiting longer, her response was nothing short of rude and dismissive. There was no apology or explanation for the oversight, just an air of indifference, as if I was somehow beneath her attention. Her behavior went beyond simple neglect—it felt personal, and sadly, I was left with the unsettling feeling that race played a part in how I was treated.

This incident today left a bitter taste in my mouth, as it was clear she had no regard for my presence or my needs. Her complete lack of professionalism and common decency was shocking. It wasn’t just her dismissive attitude, but the coldness with which she addressed me when I dared to interrupt to remind her I was next. It was almost as if she was offended by my very existence in that moment.

What made the situation even more disturbing was the way she interacted with other customers, who were treated with friendliness and respect, while I was sidelined and ignored. It was hard not to feel like her behavior was rooted in something deeper than just bad customer service. I was left feeling humiliated, disrespected, and isolated in a public space—a place where I expected to be treated fairly and equally like any other customer.

This was not just poor service; it felt like a deliberate and pointed act of exclusion. As someone who values fairness and equality, it was deeply troubling to witness this kind of behavior in such an environment. I never expected to encounter such blatant disregard for decency in a pet store, of all places, and the fact that this happened today only deepens my disappointment.

I hope Pets at Home takes this incident seriously and addresses the troubling conduct of this staff member. No one should feel unwelcome or invisible because of who they are, and my experience has left me questioning whether I can trust this company to provide an inclusive and respectful environment for all customers.

I recently visited here and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The service did not meet my expectations at all. The staff were incredibly rude and dismissive. To make matters worse, my puppy was visibly stressed out by the chaotic environment and lack of care shown by the employees. The groomer told us afterwards that she was not trained to do half of the puppy groom. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values good service and an stress-free experience for their pets.
