Disappointing and Dismissive Experience! Would Think Twice Before Recommending

I recently attended a property viewing arranged by Land Estates and, at first, everything seemed to go well. The agent who showed us around was friendly and professional. We had a pleasant chat, and when she asked for our thoughts on the property, we expressed genuine interest, it truly ticked all the boxes for us. She assured us that an offer form would be sent over shortly.

There were other families waiting to view the property after us, so we understood it was a busy day. However, what followed left us completely disheartened.

Despite the positive viewing at 11:20am, we received no communication whatsoever for the rest of the day. Hoping things would move forward the next morning, I gave the Dartford branch a call, only to be told that nothing had been put in place to send us an offer form. The staff member on the phone (calls are supposedly recorded) didn’t even offer an apology. Instead, he bluntly stated that the property was no longer available as an offer had already been accepted.

This was not only shocking but extremely disappointing. I felt dismissed and undervalued. It became very clear that not all prospective tenants are treated equally, and perhaps we didn’t fit the kind of client they wanted to deal with. That in itself is deeply concerning.

First impressions matter! and businesses, especially in property, should be built on good customer service and trust. Unfortunately, this experience left me questioning whether I could recommend Land Estates to others. Honesty and transparency go a long way, but sadly, that was lacking here.

The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was, quite frankly, dismissive and arrogant in tone. No sense of accountability or professionalism, just a cold response that made us feel irrelevant.

Everyone deserves a fair opportunity! even if our offer had been declined, we would have appreciated just being acknowledged. Brushing people aside without communication is poor practice and leaves a lasting negative impression.

To those working in lettings: one day, you may be on the other side, searching for a home of your own. Remember that. And to others considering Land Estates. Proceed with caution.
