Big shout out to the lovely guys at Halfords Bridgwater, especially the gentleman who helped me get the correct battery for my Dad's Hyundai..."Naughty People Pick Noses" was his advice on how to remember the order for the terminals. Worked a treat!
Asked for advice, was given it in the most lovely way, was able to change the battery on my Dad's car thanks to you guys. Saved a bundle not having to call out a mobile mechanic or breakdown service. Really appreciate it. Thank you!

Oil light came on 100 miles into a 250 journey so pulled off M5, found the nearest Halfords (in Bridgewater) and went there for oil top up. Staff could not have been more helpful. Lovely friendly people and excellent service.

My elderly father Brian today came into Halfords, Bridgwater, Somerset for a new set of windscreen wipers for his car.
He dealt with two store colleagues Fran & Greg who he said could not of been more helpful. The customer service he said that he received was excellent, helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and that they both went over and beyond to help
him out.
A huge Thank-you to Fran & Greg, you certainly made my father one very happy person. He commented and said if only customer service was the same everywhere.

Couldn't find the bulb I needed online. A member of staff saw me waiting at the parts counter and offered to help. His knowledge allowed him to find the correct bulb and fit it within 10 minutes. Superb.

The service was excellent. The only issue I have is that I do not have the full functionality of the unit I purchased, and so I do need additional work done.... and from Youtube research I think i know what the issue is. My challenge with Halfords is making communication contact with you so that i can explain my issue, and understand that Halfords can resolve it..... I don't know how to email Halfords so that the engineer that did my installation (who was excellent) can receive my feedback, and i can be sure that he might be able to resolve it. The store is 45mins from my home, I do not want to make a 1.5 hour round trip wasted journey for the sake of being able to discuss the issue in advance, and know that a trip to the store could resolve my issues.

I initially purchased a bike from Halfords after a few glitches in quality, where the specified hardware on the bicycle had been replaced with cheap inferior hardware, which was replaced with the correct hardware when I pointed them out, I was generally pleased with the product. However, my recent experience with their after-sales service has been far from satisfactory. Last year I took my bike in to have a flat repaired, they replaced the tube, 1 bike ride later my tyre was again flat, and I was stranded at work, miled from home. When I took my bike into a local bike shop to get the same tyre repaired, I was informed that they had replaced the tube with the incorrect sizeed replacement, which explained the 1 ride lifespan of the replacement. More recently, having scheduled and attended a 20 minute assessment, I booked a 90-minute appointment based on their standard service times.
When I arrived, although the bike was booked for 90 minutes, I was informed that a clerical error had listed the appointment as an assessment instead of a service. Despite providing the paperwork from the previous assessment, and informing the staff at check-in about the correct nature of my appointment my bike was again assessed, something already done a few weeks prior, that takes 20 minutes, except this assessment took over 90 minutes. Wasting almost 2 hours of my time. What's most frustrating is that Halfords could have easily resolved this issue by either recognizing the error and proceeding with the service, or by simply informing me of the mistake and rescheduling. Instead, I was left waiting for hours, only to be told that they had completed the assessment that they had already done.
Such a lack of communication and efficiency is unacceptable. It not only wastes customers' time but also damages trust in the brand. While I hope this was an isolated incident, this and the fiasco with the specified hardware being 'accidentally' replaced with inferior hardware when I purchased the bike, has certainly soured my opinion of Halfords' after-sales service.
If you choose to purchase from Halfords make sure that you check every aspect of the bicycle to make sure that you get what you're paying for, and seriously consider whether buying a service plan from them is worth it. In my opinion it is most definitely a waste of money. My experience with their after-sales care has been dismal at best.

A girl at the front counter! Blonde hair, Part of the WeFit team served me but was more interested in talking over the headset than dealing with me the customer!

She was rather rude! I think she needs better people skills?

The moment we walked into the Bridgwater Halfords we were apprehensive due to poor customer service at Halfords Taunton, what a difference, we wanted to purchase a child seat for our car, the assistant that helped us was a mother herself & was very knowledgeable on what type of car seat was most suitable to our needs, she came out with the chair we had picked, set it up in our two door car (not particularly easy) & fixed the Isofix & chair safely in our car, the assistant went through the fitting process a few times with us until we were comfortable with the process, being grandparents we were a little out of touch with Isofix ! Once we were happy with the baby chair the assistant offered anytime visits if we ever needed further help. Could not of asked for a more competent & knowledgeable assistant. We would highly recommend this branch of Halfords.
