Arch Communications provided PR services to Notts Housing Advice, a small charity giving housing and debt advice in Nottingham city centre and the county.

Staff at Arch provided a clear and personal service, often moving quickly with little notice to secure publicity opportunities for us. In 2012, I commissioned Arch Communications to help develop a new marketing strategy at Nottinghamshire County Council. This required both political awareness and an ability to tiptoe through service sensitivities – both skills that Arch demonstrated with careful and considered engagement.

Arch’s work began the process of shifting our focus to a clearer understanding of marketing outcomes, a greater awareness of target audiences and more emphasis on digital media. This new approach helped us to deliver more for less – helping the Council to avoid cost, generate income or influence its overall satisfaction rating. For example, visitor numbers to the Robin Hood Festival (one of our biggest events of the calendar) increased year-on-year by 33%, for half the previous marketing cost.

All of the work was completed on time and within budget. Importantly, the quality was high and paved the way for the delivery of considerable results for the authority.

We would use Arch Communications again should a suitable project arise in the future.
