Dreadful. Tried to return an alarm clock that was not as described in the original packing. Was refused a refund by manager Debs who was extremely rude and condescending. She even tried to blame us for the fault the clock had! Went home and had a live chat with Argos who told us we could have a refund and our order would be marked as such. We went back to Argos, Herne Bay, and Debs wouldn't even look at the order or do as her head office had said and walked away. We requested a refund through Paypal which was immediately accepted when we told them the details. My family and I will never use Argos, Herne Bay again. Disgraceful.

Placed click and collect item with Argos then been told I have to join the queue for Sainsbury's which is half way round the car park. What's the point in offering click and collect if you have to queue for the supermarket? Will cancel my £90 order and reorder online from Amazon who are cheaper and will deliver for free. You've lost a customer!

Be careful with returns policy at Argos. I was very disappointed to find I was unable to return two cables I had bought. One phone charger and one HDMI -DVI cable. Both had been opened which invalidated any rights to return for these items. Apparently this is in T&C's. Fair enough but sometimes people make mistakes and buy the wrong items. My advice - use Amazon they can deliver next day and easily allow you to return goods. I plan to contact Argos customer services which will no doubt entail a further lengthy waste of my time. I guess the "High Street" is not really that interested in saving itself from the mighty tax dodging machines that are the online giants. Oh well that's a shame as it seems Argos have decided to go the same way as other stalwarts of the 1980s and 90s. BHS, Woolworths, C&A etc.
