Asda Horwich Superstore - Retail

This is Asda. Situated in the Middlebrook Retail & Leisure Park, although not particularly different from any other Asda it is still a decent Asda. This Asda superstore is most certainly super.

However my biggest problem with this Asda is that both times I have been they have not had the Guardians of the galaxy Xbox game in stock, despite leaving multiple empty cases on the shelf. The empty cases on the shelf baited me into thinking I would be walking home with the game. However as I went to the till they looked for the game and gave me the devastating news that they had none in stock.

As the famous proverb says, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

3rd Time Bolton Balloon Fairies have been asked to decorate the store for an Occasion and I've always had good experiences. The staff are so polite and the store is clean and tidy. 🥰

Everything was tidy and we were able to buy everything we went for. Large clothing section. Has a cafe, bureaux de change and a Timpson (Timpson customer service was great!). Fruit and especially vegetables always sell out.

Shocking!!! Went for a photo cake get the design ready on the machine no issue, head to the bakery section to hand them the cake & receipt to no staff so then I head to customer services to enquire to then be told that the bakery staff all finish at 2PM

This used to be a great supermarket. It is now run down and tired.

What has happened to the Pizza counter! Went in at 6pm on Friday and they'd was about 5 left!

I can only assume they are going to close it down. Such a shame.

Nice big store with variety, but the customer service is close to poor. There’s posters all over the super market claiming that the staff is there to help, but we did not feel like that. We had just bought 3 new luggages and had put shopping in them and wanted to leave them with the staff, so we don’t carry them around with us. The security guard told us to go to the customer service office and they will help me. Even though they stay at the desk they said we can only leave them at our own risk. My dad said that he didn’t want to, because we had expensive things inside. The lady that was short, with short hair & glasses gave us the dirtiest look.

Went here today to put items in the food bank, which I couldn't find? I asked a lady on the till where the trolley or basket was and she said should be by the toilet?which it wasn't. I went to the customer services desk, where a lady was on her own up the wall, I asked her to contact someone for me so I could ask WHY there was NOTHING in place for customers to put items in. This lady said the manager SHARON was too busy? I asked her again for help and she again said too busy in the home department. I walked around the store and finally found Sharon, who advised me that she was busy getting someone's delivery ready and would put a trolley by the toilets when she's done.
Well I must say that the appalling service and compassion shown today by the manager SHARON and her staff, is disgusting.
I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOYED YOUR CHRISTMAS DINNER AND ALL THE SCOFFING You've DONE OVER THIS SO CALLED HOLIDAY PERIOD.
FOR MANY MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE ON OUR STREETS AT THE MOMENT, FREEZING AND STARVED(OF FOOD AND COMPASSION) I WOULDN'T RELY ON SHARON AND HER TEAM At Asda Horwich FOR ANY HELP.
I hope fate bites you all on the backside.....
