A good landmark to aim for if you fancy a gentle walk along the sands. We parked centrally, near to the promenade, so that we could have a good walk before lunch. A traditional old-time seaside resort but with the modern bits hidden one road back from the seafront.
The lighthouse beach is reached by following the prom to its end and turning hard left.. Then it's a gentle stroll on the sands.
I marvel at the engineering of old structures. Nearly 200 years ago they were dodging tides and sinking piles to support the construction of the lighthouse. Seems like they did a pretty good job.

Wellies needed as clay & quick sand everywhere. Water is never nice enough to bathe on this side of the coast, but it always makes for a pleasant dog walk as dog friendly all year round at this end of this beach

Lovely walk along the beach to see this low lighthouse. Remember to check the tide levels. But even during high tide today around 430 the water level didn't reach the light house. So depends on the sea levels.
Makes for nice photos.

Good lighthouse. Looks really beautiful and is one of the more stand out and iconic areas of Burnham-On-Sea area. Exceptionally great landmark for taking photos of. Definitely would recommend seeing it if you are visiting this area of Somerset or even live round here. It is a solid 5 or so min walk down a footpath that joins with Gore Road & Brightstowe Road. It is also about a 15 min walk from Burnham-On-Sea seafront, about a 35 minutes walk from Burnham-On-Sea Holiday Village, about a 10 mins walk from Retreat Caravan Park, about 20 mins walk from Lakeside holiday park & about a 45 mins walk from Home Farm Holiday Park. It is also a 25-30!minute walk from either of the car parks dotted around town near the high street.

A great beach. Definitely ideal for walking across (especially as the weather treated us so well). Overall not too busy, generally very clean and with nice, smooth sand. Recommend visiting.

A lovely walk along the beach. The beach is wide do can take a lovely long walk. The sand dunes are beautiful. Dogs are allowed during the winter months but not in the summer.
