Easy to get parked, no queues, friendly staff. Despite having to to drive up from Cockermouth, you can actually get your business done here quicker than in that post office down there and its long queues.

Helpful staff, a post office and local shop with a wide range of goods and food, from stamps and cards to cereals and fresh foods, frozen foods, and toiletries and newspapers. Lots of goods things for all in a local store. For a village location the opening hours, before six until after seven in the evenings weekdays, are very good. Excellent for local shopping as well as finding those odds and ends you forgot in a larger shop.

Time for a quick update and I must add that this is one of the best Post offices I've visited! Fast service.
Very friendly and helpful staff behind the Post Office counter. The counter is at the rear of a well stocked convenience store.
The only parking is on the road, so can be a little awkward if the road is busy.
