Large car park at the bottom before you start the climb. Then you step through time as you start your climb, steep in a couple of places and would be slippery in the rain, but well worth taking your time.

My 'experience' of Dunadd Fort started in Kilmartin Museum where the importance and historical context of the fort was succinctly and clearly explained. My visit to the fort (which is a short drive from the museum) was everything I hoped it would be, given the information previously obtained.
Climbing (is a slight exaggeration!) to the top requires a degree of competency and care, but the effort is well worth it.
Choose a clear day to get the full benefit of the fat reaching views through 360 degrees.

Nice little hike to the top, not too hard but slippery as it's mostly rocks. At the top, a couple of panels explain the history behind the forts, but there isn't really a lot left to see. Nice to do if you're around, but not worth a big detour, despite the historical significance of the spot.

Free attraction. Take a 10 minute walk up the hill and place your foot on the coronation stone like the kings of Scotland once done. Great panoramic view 👌

Amazing historical sight. Short walk up to the top of the fort and we were lucky enough to see the sheep grazing up top. We arrived quote late (5pmish) and were the only ones up there.

Incredibly rewarding little climb. Takes about 10 minutes but it is a bit slippery in placea. The carpark is immediately to the right once you cross the bridge.

One of the best forts I’ve been to, actually something to see. Has some spectacular panoramic views from the top, and a great information boards for you to read. The climb to the top is nice, but can be a bit challenging in slippery conditions or for those who struggle with mobility. Would highly recommend, if not just to see if you could become the king or queen of Scotland.
