Had an amazing time at the Herne Bay Pier and Beach. Such a great view of the sea and the weather was also very pleasant for our visit. There’s lots of places to walk and enjoy the scenery from. There’s also an amazing little amusement park towards the pier with fun stuff to do for kids and great little shops to visit and buy items from. Definitely worth a visit.

A very nice pier, no charge to enter and lots of kiosks and stalls on there and a little fairground at the end. Good for crabbing too!

Mostly accessible. Obviously the rides less so. Plenty of options for food and drink. 8 yr old grandchild really enjoyed it. Parking a bit hit and miss alongside promenade.

The beach is truly stunning, featuring clean, well-maintained gravel sand, and the water is quite clear with a sandy bottom. It's definitely a must-visit during the summer months. Conveniently, there is nearby parking available at no charge for up to four hours currently. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking. The only downside was that the pier was disappointing as it was closed and not available for children's activities, despite visiting on three different occasions. However, I would still suggest families visit this beach for its beauty and the wonderful walking experience it offers.

Herne Bay Pier is most definitely worth a visit it has some interesting little shops along the length of it then there’s a small children’s fairground at the end.
Always a popular place for fishing too.
The only thing I will say as a negative is there are a block of toilets placed at the end of the pier which are obviously handy but when walking through I passed people who were holding their noses I thought it was odd until I got close to the loos then realised what the problem was they absolutely stank to high heaven where they’d clearly been in use all day but wow what a great way to put people off 🤢 a very unpleasant experience and very unhygienic for them to smell that rank.

So back to the pier itself I like it and enjoy walking the length of it and I do hope they move the loos and put the end of the pier to good use and make the walk there worth while.
This is an honest review and if the problem has since been rectified then great but if it hasn’t then people should be aware.

Great place for a stroll. Few places open. Saw some Great Cormorants and European Shags on the far pier had to use long lens to see them and binoculars helped.
