We have been happily working with Home Instead at weekends for a few years! They are very good about providing a small team to get to know my parents. Without their help with meals, dressing, and medications, my parents would not be able to stay at home.

I want to start by extending a massive thank you to Alexia for her prompt visit to my Great Auntie to begin our journey of care with Home Instead. She was extremely professional and a genuinely lovely lady to introduce us to the company.
Although my Aunties time with care from Home Instead was short, she absolutely adored the girls that came in to see her every day. They couldn’t do enough for her. Even if she just wanted a hand to hold or to chat for an hour they always undertook her wishes. Under the care of Ness, Claire, Joanne, Genevieve and Katie my Great Auntie had something a little extra to look forward to every day through their visits.
Ness, Alexia and Debbie were with me and my Auntie the day she passed and the compassion was just beyond anything I could ever have asked for. The support from the entire team has been amazing and I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking home care. Ness even attended my Aunties funeral which meant the world to me. Thank you so much Home Instead for making Auntie Rita’s last few weeks as comfortable as they could be and Alexia for going above and beyond when I had queries and wanted to introduce further care. Nothing was ever too much hassle.

I recently used the services of Home Instead after being discharged from hospital at a difficult time for me, both physically and emotionally. After an initial detailed discussion of my needs with Alexia, she put together a team of ladies whom I found to be absolutely wonderful, most professional but always understanding, cheerful and caring - nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Getting older and ever more infirm, my wife and I decided to investigate alternatives to residential care. Neither of us could contemplate life without our books and the bits and pieces that define our 64 years together. As a result of our researches we came to the conclusion that Home Instead best answered our needs at this time.

On applying we were visited by Alexia, the Client Services Supervisor and we had a very thorough discussion at which she took careful notes of our requirements. We agreed to a one hour visit by a carer for four days a week.

Alexia returned a week later with two of the carers, who were to form the basis of our “team”, to introduce them to us. Now we have a “team” of 3 who are scheduled to call on us for one hour on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to help with light domestic tasks and bring their companionship into our lives. Besides being very pleasant and helpful, each one in her own way brings us into contact with a younger generation their outlook and digital skills.

We have found that both the admin and base staff as well as the carers themselves to be delightful and helpful. All in all we feel that Home Instead is providing a most useful service and we would recommend it to anyone seeking something similar.
