Good store this one I find the staff really helpful and friendly which makes the shopping experience better, usually pretty well stocked and always new products and special offers available, some products can be a touch expensive compared to online retailers however for convenience shopping it's all good.

I went in to get some cord for my powerbase grass trimmer. There weren't any on display so I had a look on the website, couldn't find the info there so I opened a box to get the model number. I was then confronted by a very officious staff member asking if he could help, I said Yes please, I need to know which is the right cord for one of these. He all but snatched the box from me, closing it up and then demanding to know which shelf it came from. He then led me to the cord section and handed me a roll of cord which I knew categorically was too large, I told him this so he put it back and then proceeded to show me a different model on display and informed me that all the information on the machine can be found on its blue label. He then strolled off. As there were NO display models of the machine I have, I went back, reopened the box, got the model number, closed the box and returned it to its shelf before selecting the correct cord and proceeding to the checkout. I left feeling angry at having been spoken to like a naughty child (I'm 47!) and disappointed as all my previous experiences at this store have been positive. Unfortunately he wasn't wearing a name tag or I'd be reporting him directly to the Manager.

On the Quarry Wood estate loads of free parking currently best priced emulsion paint in the area. Helpful staff and click and collect was hassle free.

The store seems to have been re-organised over the past few months to May 2024. I have to say that it looks and feels so much better now. The aisles and wak through areas are wide and easily accessible to anyone. The stock is tidy on both the shelves and central displays. The store is clean and looks well managed. Good stock levels without cramming it in. The staff are friendly and helpful, leaving what task they are doing to come and assist.
The prices seem to me to be more competitative recently with other stores eg Dunelm, Argos.
Ample baskets available.
There were public toilets here but since covid they closed and am not sure if open now.
My only critisism from this visit, is the price information cards for the non-shelf displays. I was looking at storage box options as these had 25% off certain ones yet out of 5 displays, 1 had the wrong stock next to the pricing card and 2 had no info at all.
I still highly recommend this store since the 'redo' and there is ample free parking (3 hrs max I believe) including right outside the store.

Disappointed. Went to purchase wallpaper, only to be told that since the refit, they no longer sell it and it has all been moved to Chatham. Who in their infinite wisdom decided that it would be a good idea to now
sell household cleaning items, when these can be purchased in other stores close by and to extend the carpet area when there is a Carpetright next door, at the expense of selling wallpaper?

Great for paint but for garden plants and tools a proper garden centre has a better range and DIY items are pricey compared to Toolstation or Screwfix in my experience.
But the staff are really great and it's convenient for many things.

Didn't actually shop here but in Tapi Carpets which is situated within the store. Found Tapi (Zoe) to be very helpful and efficient. Arranged for samples to be brought when measuring up and placed order on that day. Delivery and fitting scheduled for next week. All in all, good experience all round.
