I’ve been a member of this practice for approximately a year and a half now and have nothing but praise for it. The staff are kind, supportive, informed and always follow up on any agreed actions. I feel like I am listened to and that I get to contribute to decisions on how best to proceed.

Terrible surgery. Always difficult to park because of the volume of staff but that doesn’t mean you get quality treatment, you don’t. Expect to be discriminated against because of your age, expect to be dismissed and expect prescriptions from other doctors to be questioned. This is supposed to be a teaching surgery but there is no evidence whatsoever of current and up to date knowledge or research. The GP I saw wouldn’t even acknowledge that Perimenopause exists at the age of 43 and persistently referred to menopause for ladies in their 50’s. The surgery is littered with notices about respecting members of staff, it’s a shame they don’t do the same for their patients, if they did maybe they wouldn’t have so many issues. If you can register with another surgery please do.

I've never been with such a dismissive, nasty surgery in all my life. Even my physio is baffled why I haven't been diagnosed with the illness I very obviously have, and the mental health team even had to help me gain courage to ask for help again. The GP's act like I'm a hypochondriac, stating all of my health issues are linked to stress and anxiety (how does that cause loose joints that dislocate, seizures, passing clots, etc, exactly?). Some of the worst experiences have been a GP laugh when I said I'm having seizures (later diagnosed by a Neurologist, after begging to be referred), being told my pain was due to lack of sleep and referred to an app, being lectured for being on antibiotics a lot (for infections I've checked positive for. But will they find the reason? No.), a GP constantly touch my leg and speak over me which is incredibly distressing for anyone, but especially an Autistic person like myself, having to beg for basic tests, and I've actually had to diagnose myself with most things because they won't, which has led a GP to say I 'spend too much time in my head, over analysing things'. I've not been wrong about most things, and I don't make a habit of scoping the Internet for illnesses I don't have. I tend to use the NHS website, but the GP's here don't even take their own advice. And it's even with my family. My son was told twice he didn't have an ear infection, for his ear drum to burst both times. I was also called 'an anxious mummy' when my Epileptic child had a fever of almost 40ºc. Honestly, I've called other medical centres in hope that they take us on instead, but they won't. We even looked into moving house. I'm incredibly ill, and all they seem to do is tell me I'm worrying too much, and need to have a relaxing bath. I'm sure they roll their eyes whenever I put in an econsult. Trust me, nobody wants to not have to do those more than me. It's funny that another review says the practice has no knowledge of EDS, because I'd definitely agree. It's so bad I'm scared this review will have a negative outcome, but I just want to warn others. I can't help but wonder if it's linked to the way I dress (I've had GP's make unnecessary comments about my tattoos and piercings), or my neurodivergency (I've had GP's make comments about my lack of eye contact, shy nature, and use my traits as excuses for themselves). They seem to take me more seriously when my husband accompanies me. If anyone at the surgery wishes to discuss this with me, please just treat me instead. I'm too exhausted by being horrendously ill every single day. There are a few good nurses, and one GP that has been okay so far, but this place is awful. What's worse is they have University students learning from them.

The staff have been so kind. Just moved from England so much better than the service I got at my last doctors. The nurse that does the blood tests is really nice and helpful. Got seen at the hospital in Aberdeen the next day after visiting this practice. Doctor even calls to see how you are doing!!! 🙂👍🏻👍🏻

Very grateful for all the help I received from the staff of Inverbervie Medical Centre on 8 June, 2022. Was connected very quickly to the receptionist when I telephoned the surgery in the morning and told that I would get a call back in the afternoon, which I did, and subsequently an appointment was made for me to be seen later that same day. All the staff I met and spoke to on the telephone were so helpful and professional. Special thanks to Nurse Debbie Robson and the professional and patient receptionist I spoke to in the morning.

Booked see doctor saw nurse and then was asked to make video appointment. Not much use when you need doctor to examine you. Went to check moles on back they took photos to send to dermitoligy department more than 1 month ago still no response despite calling 3 times and going to surgery twice. Was told to call dermatology in Aberdeen which I did twice and left message messages more than 2 weeks ago no call back. Complete waste of time

Sometimes okay and sometimes not very good. Had a call to make an appointment regarding test results and the Dr called later in the week and asked me why she was calling. Some drs are good, others make you feel like an inconvenience and half the time they don't even read your notes before they call you

Have had various visits to the Health Centre over the past few years for a range of ailments from minor problems to pretty serious stuff. I’ve found them always very good. All UK health practices these days are under incredible pressure and I have a load of sympathy with the workload they have. The online request service works incredibly well.
