A hugely enjoyable day learning wildlife photography with Lacock Photography. Fiona's enthusiasm for the subject is infectious. I found her in-depth exploration of which settings on my fairly low-spec camera would work best for me invaluable, and the day-long small group format gave us plenty of time to learn new skills, put them into practice, evaluate and then practice some more. The Bristol Zoo Project proved an excellent venue, giving us the chance to get close to many of the animals, and even take pictures of the local birds and other wildlife on this large woodland site.

Great courses explained in a way that helps everyone to understand. I would recommend for anyone from a complete beginner to someone, like me, who'd been using a camera for years but never really understood what it all meant. I feel this will take my photography to another level. Can't wait to do the wildlife course

My daughter booked us on the Beginners Course as a Christmas present and what a great gift it was. I have had a Nikon digital SLR camera for about 8 years and have rarely, if ever, taken a shot on anything but the Auto mode.
At 71 years old I was slightly apprehensive about going back to school but Fiona presents the course at a pace that everyone is comfortable with and as there are only ever a maximum of 6 students she has the time and patience to ensure everyone understands each aspect of the course agenda.
The morning is spent understanding the benefits of shutter and aperture priority modes and the importance of the ISO sensitivity to get optimum exposures and you get to see some of Fiona's stunning photography using those modes. In the afternoon you take a short stroll down to Lacock village to put the theory into practice.
A really great day Fiona, thank you very much.

Intermediate course with Marcus McAdam - excellent informative tuition in a great setting with Lacock village an absolute treasure in which to practice what you're learning. I would thoroughly recommend the course, venue and tutor.

Fiona is a fantastic instructor, who taught the beginners course in a very practical, relaxed, and easy to understand manner. The day flew by and I finally found out how to use my camera after years of neglect. The course is a good mix of tutorial and practical experience and I was very happy with the resulting photos. Highly recommend the course to anyone who is struggling to get to grips with their camera and is stuck in 'auto' mode.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Beginners Part 1 course. Beautiful venue in Lacock. Morning tuition spent in super studio. Small group of 6 like-minded clueless enthusiasts 😄! Fiona is lovely, excellent teacher, so friendly and plenty of coffee ! Afternoon stroll in the village practising shots then back to studio to learn software packages. Covered so much I now can't wait to get out and about and start snapping. If photography interests you I can recommend that here is a brilliant way to start.

An absolutely amazing course which was taught at just the right pace for a beginner! I went in as someone who loved taking photos but lacked the confidence and knowledge to take my camera off Auto Mode, and now I’ve learnt how to take lovely photos adjusting the settings myself to suit the conditions. Fiona was so enthusiastic and made everyone feel at ease. She was wonderfully patient with us newbies and spent time helping me set up my camera correctly. The mixture of theory and practical was perfect and it was lovely to wander round beautiful Lacock in the afternoon taking photos of the lovely flowers that seemed to have put on a display just for us! I would certainly recommend this beginners part 1 course and will hopefully be back to attend further courses in the future.
