There are fewer and fewer shops every year in all shopping centres. I was quite shocked as to how few shops were still in the mercat. Saying that, it's nice to see community shops being given space in here. Internet shopping has killed the high street and shopping centres. Sad but that's life.

Mercat kirckaldy has every wee bit you need for shopping from food, to clothes, to furniture and everything

The only problem here is the wee schoolies coming down after school ends and causing bother, aside from that its top class 👍

Lovely little place. It's sadly kind of dying out but has some nice events. I would love to see it revived by the council with some upgrades and some new shops.

Although the centre itself is clean and tidy, it lacks any big name shops. The entrance from the high street is an absolute disgrace as it’s strewn with litter, cigarette butts and discarded chewing gum.Hardly a showpiece for our high street.

It's a one-stop shop where you have different stores for all household needs.

Everything is now closed almost. Fife Council have done a super job in destroying the entire high street and further. 👍
