Great independent vinyl shop hidden upstairs up a side alley near to The Feathers hotel. Large selection of second hand and some new LPs of most generes. A few CDs and a lot of 7 inch singles. Friendly and knowledgeable owner with a lot of record shop experience. Definitely worth seeking out.

Simple: its the best record shop in the UK. Pauls stock covers a huge range so there is plenty for all tastes. Plus, most importantly, he only sells records that are in great condition. Then, there is the brilliant Paul who owns and runs the shop; his expertise is second to none and he's happy the chat and guide. Simply exceptional!

Mod Lang is by some distance the best record shop in the UK. Quality and diversity of stock is unbelievable. Owner is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are always reasonable. If you are within 100 miles of Ludlow skip lunch (and breakfast if you need to) to get there. You won't regret it.

Called into the store today as we are on holidays in Knighton. What a superb place, great atmosphere and very friendly chap working there. As soon as I mentioned an album I couldn’t find he got it from the extra stock and got me a price on it. Ended up buying about 7 albums, be warned 😄
Great selection and fair pricing. Just got back to our accommodation and I have just had a good look at what I bought. All in excellent condition.

Feeling over-generous giving two stars. Took an inherited collection of LPs here to sell. Maybe 100 albums in total. Mainly 1960s-1970s. Including Beatles (Blue album, Red album), Dylan (several), Don McLean, Joplin, Lennon (Shaved Fish), various punk, and many more.

After much sucking of his teeth, owner would stretch only to £40.

In hindsight and as the money paid was so insignificant, wishing now that we had donated the collection to a charity shop, in tribute of the late owner and in the hope of it doing some good.
Ahh well, you live and learn.

What a find! Randomly visited Ludlow for the weekend and my girlfriend and I stumbled across the shop. We had a great time browsing everything on offer and came away with quite a few records and books. Had a really nice time chatting to Al (apologies if the names incorrect) and he recomended places to go in the evening. Great stock and great service, will 100% come back if ever in the area. It’s the dream to sit in there and talk records all day.

Paul, the owner, is a really knowledgeable friendly guy, with a wealth of experience and a great selection of vinyl. I’ve been in a few times recently, bought a good few records all of which have been a great quality. I’ve also told him other records that I’m looking for and he has put them by for me when they came in. The prices are comparable with many other record shops and cheaper than a good few. I totally recommend a visit if you are in the area ( check the opening times), I’ll certainly be returning.

An excellent shop for used vinyl. Well priced, honestly graded and always a great selection. The owner has a great knowledge of music and artists. Highly recommended.
