We have been using My News for local advertising for a number of years. We now advertise regularly in 4 editions and get mentioned in the Pink Directory. This glossy little A5 monthly is packed with local news and advertising and the quality of the print means it's not only a good read, it's well worth keeping and showing to others. It's one thing to accept that we are in a digital age, quite another to accept that means the death knell of all written media.
Nik Allen at My News has cleverly understood that if you can tap in to locations that have a community spirit, the people both want to know the real local news and as importantly, where possible, they often prefer to use and support local businesses.

In this way he's created an income stream from companies who want to reach their local target audience in a financially viable way and a flow of news to keep communities engaged in whats happening around them.

There's still a massive audience who want to read something they can actually touch and feel rather than look at a screen too.

This proven by the fact his 13 or so titles that have found there way on to (and tend to stay there) the coffee tables of thousands of homes. they have and made the dentist waiting room a more bearable place.
