Stunning place to walk around, the tours are very good or you could jump on the tour boat for 30 mins. There are canoes or row boats at a charge, but great fun. Had to wait quite awhile in a long queue for the cafe. It moved along quite swiftly, but what I found was the lack of menus on display! The food choice was quite poor, sandwiches are a great choice if they was on offer, but sadly not. The quality of the cakes and baked pastry sadly was not very nice. I shall bring my own food time. You lost a star because of this.

Beautiful, tranquil place with plenty of space to walk around. I was there with over 300 people for a river swim. It was disappointing that since they must have known the event was taking place, neither the cafe or the toilets were open until 10 am. This inevitably resulted in queues. An opportunity missed I feel.
The exhibition was small but very interesting and the cottage was atmospheric.

What a stunningly beautiful place. So many paths to explore.
The RSPB also has a little wildlife garden which I wanted to visit but lost track of time and so missed it. The totem at the entrance looked interesting.

The cafe had some lovely food choices, with plenty of seating inside and out, with a inside dog area as well.

Ducks wonder freely and one can book a boat ride and enjoy the water even more. We saw two ladies who were standup paddle boarding the river.

A lovley peaceful location.

You won't find a better place in miles for beauty, easy to see why Constable painted here so often. Car park is £5, which gives you all day to be here. Packed full of history and love, toilets nearby are exceptional, especially great access and facilities for the disabled which is a rarity anywhere nowadays to be fully accessible. The National trust have done themselves credit here, as have the staff who you can see have real passion for everything on site. Definitely worth a visit

Beautiful place to come whenever it's open. There's little shop and a small cafe along with some museum type items to look at.

The food in the cafe is fine it doesn't really cater for vegans or those with special dietary requirements. However they do have the odd one or two things.

The river is very active with people boating, paddle boarding and swimming.

Beautiful landscapes which span the classic English counties of Essex and Suffolk.
Great history associated with the classic artist John Constable and amazing to see the scenes from his artworks still visible. Free parking for NT members, lovely tea room with outdoor riverside seating.

Traditional thatched cottage on the bridge at Flatford Mill. Interesting museum, if you want to know about life in days gone by. Tranquil setting with access to footpaths to Manningtree and Dedham. Next door is the shop selling a good range of souvenirs and the tea room with a,reasonable range of food and drinks
