Brilliant visit. Seating inside you can sit on for a rest or just to imagine the scene. Really good visitor guides who know so much. Lovely grounds and kitchen garden to wander through. This would be ideal for summer time as you could very easily picnic in the sun and surrounded by so much countryside. Free parking cafe which offers an abundance of choices albeit a bit pricey but still very nice and the staff here in the cafe work really hard. Nice greeting when we arrived and a map handed over showing everything that you could want to see. Recommended visit for all.

Well kept house and gardens providing a look back at the history of this arts and crafts venue. Lots of the décor inside is of the Victorian era. Friendly staff throughout the property ready to assist and provide further information. Car park located at the bottom of the estate, but it's only a short walk up the hill to the house and gardens.

Beautifully kept house and gardens. Love all the information as you go through the house, the books and people are very knowledgeable and nice. The gift shop and plant shop are reasonably priced and have so many fun things. The cafe has great prices and such a large variety of items. A must stop. A 3 mile walk from East Grinstead train station, mostly all downhill. Or a short commute by taxi, there is also a bus stop out the end of the drive as well.

Absolutely lovely place!
Worthy a visit if you have time.
We spend a lovely sunny afternoon there with 2 toddlers who enjoyed the varieties of flowers.

The building for viewing allowed us to go into history. This was again a very nice experience with a little game that allowed our toddlers to enjoy the house tour without getting bored.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Thank you helping us to have a lovely experience 🙂

Fantastic moated property. Inside were great examples of arts and crafts in the building.

There is a large play area next to the car park. Over the next two weeks during weekdays they were hosting a crazy golf course.

There was a lovely garden with flowers and vegetables.

The staff in the house were very knowledgeable and friendly. In the cafe there was the usual NT selection of items on sale. The staff in the cafe were efficient and it was clean. There is free water and glasses available.

There was live music on the croquet lawn.

There is a beautiful walk around the local area. Some of the forest is currently closed off to manage ash die back.
