We were looking for a remake of multiple websites and started a project with Neat Digital after a recommendation from a business partner. We have documented requirements and deliverables in details. Deposit of 50% before was done. The Neat team is competent and easy to communicate with. There was no sense for time and deliverables visible. After more than six months delay and a significant coordination and collaboration from us (customer), Neat was not able to deliver on time, as scoped and on budget. At they end, they have pulled out overnight and left us alone with 35% of the work done and a hugh mess behind.
As it is a great team to work with and they know what they do, issue was to be seen in lack of focus, project management and priorities (too many projects simultaneously to coordinate). I recommend working with them but it is essential managing the project from the customer side by a rigorous plan, clear deadlines and what you need to get delivered when, how and why.
