Staff are awful to deal with and beyond rude! I have witnessed them being rude to other customers too, and the way I was spoken to today was the nail in the coffin. I can usually ignore it, but the comments are getting worse and they all seem to have no decent, or even BASIC, customer service skills. It's a real shame as it's in an ideal location for the village. I can see why so many others get parcels collected or venture out to another post office.

Lovely location, perfect for the village of billingborough, but in my experiences with the post office all of the staff are just rude. Miserable, disrespectful and just horrible people. Especially the older man who I believe owns the shop. Just a miserable soul who needs to pass down the baton onto someone else. I’d rather drive an extra 10 miles to the nearest town for a post office then have to deal with this one. I advise people to stay away.

I have just come out of this post office for the 3rd and final time on the verge of tears due to the rudeness of staff. I don’t live near a post office, this is my closest, and was told my parcel could be cheaper to send back if I taped it in half (did not know this was an option, otherwise would have done it before going to the post office to send off). I was told I could purchase a roll of tape (I have had to do this before to get my parcel sent off with this post office & refused to buy any more - they couldn’t even spare a couple of strips to help me out?!). Because there was a vast difference in cost if I was able to secure the parcel in half, I had to come away without being able to send it because morally, there was no way I was going to be buying yet another roll of tape (it would have cost almost as much as the difference in price to send the parcel!), and by this point I was starting to get mad.

The lady who served me, was so rude and unhelpful when I hadn’t been emailed my QR code for another parcel I needed to send off. And to top it off, she then just decided to walk off and serve another customer without asking if there was anything else I needed, saying goodbye, thank you - nothing.

Absolutely disgusting, I will not be using this post office again. I’m not a very confident person and would have loved to have said something there & then and it’s frustrating when I have had this experience multiple times in this post office with different staff members as well as in other post offices in the past.

2 bad experiences.

1 - Refused to take a pre-paid postage label on an large item because of a policy which only affects their store apparently and told me I needed to go to Lincoln if it wanted to be sent - not understanding.

2 - Store apparently closes at 5:30pm. 5:20pm when I got there today - fully locked, barred and bolted with the lights on inside. Even knocked on the front door to no reply.

My local one but with really bad past experiences will go elsewhere.

Lovely post office and village shop it’s just a shame the staff are so rude. I’ve been in numerous times and everything seems like it’s a chore for them.

My Wife refers to this as the "Best Post Office in the World". Great service, helpful staff and plenty to buy besides stamps
