Lovely visit today. Walk around the park then went into the Mill. All free. Went via train from Skipton. David Hockney exhibition. Quiet coffee on 3rd floor but bit a big range of food. Cafe on L2 busy and food looked good. All Terrain cycles were very friendly.

I hadn’t been to Salts Mill for a few years so it was lovely to be able to visit on Friday before we did the Shipley to Bingley 5 Rise Locks walk.
The building itself is huge and very impressive then every door has so much to offer.
There’s a lovely relaxed feeling throughout the building with staff and visitors enjoying the environment.
We had a brief look at the seconds floor but then headed up to the third floor to have coffee in the Opera cafe. This is also the location of the David Hockney Gallery and it really works! I have seen Hockney’s work displayed in other venues less successfully but the sheer amount of space here was perfect to display the larger pieces.
Our coffee and cakes were delicious and set us up nicely for our walk.
I’ll definitely be coming back to spend more time in Saltaire and Salts Mill.
Highly recommended!

Lovely historical mill turned into floors of tremendous art, a home design store, a gorgeous book shop and a beautiful cafe. A must visit if in the area. The mill carries a lot of David Hockney's work given that he is from Bradford so it's quite a treat to visit and see his work.

We had a fabulous afternoon visiting Salts Mill! We heard that David Hockney had a flowers in print exhibition and couldn’t wait to take a look. We had visited the Media museum earlier in the day, so saw some of his artistic talents through his 4 seasons videos filmed through 9 cameras.
The mill had 3 floors of interesting arts, plenty of areas to eat and drink and a wonderful book store! There’s plenty of David Hockney related things to peruse/buy! We also watched a video of the history of Salts Mill which was fascinating!

Good exhibitions and a nice bookshop. Lovely to see David Hockney’s new exhibition for flowers. The cafes were busy and difficult to grab a coffee.
