We stayed for 2 nights in a standard double room, situated on the top floor. Room was fairly small but very comfortable and well appointed and spotlessly clean. Nice big bathroom with shower. It was very quiet and we slept very well. Breakfast had a nice selection of cereals, fruit etc followed by a very nicely cooked and delicious full English ( other options available). Overall a great stay, and would definitely return when back in Hereford.

Two night stay. Nice welcome from the owners. Comfortable and very well equipped room. Parking is available. Excellent breakfast. Town centre is a comfortable 15 minute walk (railway station even closer). A very well run hotel, with conscientious owners and would happily recommend.

Stayed for 1 night as I was going to a show at the Courtyard venue and wanted somewhere close with parking and breakfast. Somerville House had rave reviews and they were well deserved as my room (6) on the top floor was lovely, the hosts were so friendly and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again, 5*

Quiet, very very comfortable, brilliant breakfast and very convenient location added to a really warm welcome..... what's not to like! This was our first stay in Hereford and the team at SH were fabulous..... we'll definitely be back. Bravo Somerville!!

Very comfortable spacious room lovely quiet surroundings excellent breakfast. Very friendly hosts, happy to help and answer questions, 20 mins walk to town centre. Worth the little extra cost more than the travel lodge, premier inn etc.

Somerville House was my homebase for 10 nights while I attended the Hay Festival in Hay-on-Wye. I could not have booked a more welcoming and comfortable hotel in Hereford. Sheila and Steve were warm and friendly, knowledgeable and engaging.|My single room with bathroom was perfect for my needs: warm, clean and comfortable. Fresh milk was available for tea or coffee in my room, and a bar fridge provided a large range of snacks and drinks.|Even on their busiest mornings, breakfast was always quick and delicious, with a full range of cold and hot breakfast dishes. Breakfast arrangements were easy to make on the mornings I had to be out the door early.|Somerville House is just a 10 minute walk from the train station (and the Hay Festival Bus) or an easy 15 minute stroll into town. It's a great location for those of us relying on public transport.|I had a wonderful stay and truly hope to return one day.

Prior to arrival booking confirmation was excellent - I loved the app that they shared. Upon arrival staff were so welcoming. Room was great - had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great - best English breakfast we had had for a while.

We stayed for the first time at the Somerville.
The proprietors Sheila and Steve were absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome.

The room was comfortable with everything you needed and more! The bed and bedding were super comfy.

Excellent parking and a short walk into the centre of town.

The breakfast was delicious, and my husband said one of the best he’d ever had!

We enjoyed a bottle of wine in the garden from the honesty bar/fridge before heading out for the evening.

Sheila and Steve couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable. …we already booked a return trip.
