We visited for a 2 night stay to attend a family funeral and to spend time with family who live near the hotel. Overall we had a great stay. We were warmly greeted and shown to our room by the staff, room 20, and found the large room to be comfortable and nicely decorated. Most importantly the room was nice and warm given the outside temperatures were sub zero. The super king size bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean, warm and nicely decorated. Staff were always friendly and polite. We did not eat at the hotel as we had our family living nearby however when we return to visit Lockerbie we will chose this hotel again, thanks for a great comfortable stay.

I booked it last minute to visit Lockerbie memorials & for my partner & I getting married at Gretna. I realised I had only added 1 adult for an overnight stay. Once we checked in however, the reception were incredible at spotting my error and helped us out. |I thought the building itself was very nice and it had a lovely character to it. Our room was large, spotless and it had a comfy bed. |The best part of our stay was the family staff, they were all friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome. |We would definitely recommend this hotel and would return here again ourselves in the future. |

I had originally booked to stay at the sister hotel for 2 nights on a work trip but turned up at 20:45 to find it closed! Called the number on the door and spoke to Glen, who explained that my booking had been moved, but he didn’t have my contact details as it was booked through a corporate site. I had arrived via train and had no way of getting to the new hotel, so he asked his daughter to pick me up.

I must admit that I was feeling a little grumpy while I was waiting in the cold but Erin arrived quickly and was lovely. Although the Sure Hotel isn’t in a great location if you don’t have a car, I was pleasantly surprised. Erin even drove me to work the next morning, before I was able to make my own arrangements.

My room was smart, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was great but dinner a little average. Erin and Helen were lovely throughout. What started out as a bit of a disaster turned out pretty well.

Honest hotel. Warm welcome, free upgrade as they were quiet. Good room, comfy bed. Huge bathroom with Roll Top Bath and sep Shower. Could do with some hooks for towels but hey for 1 night it's fine. Bar area very welcoming with log fire lit, dinner just as good as we remembered and breakfast again cooked to order. Pots of coffee not someone wandering around with a jug and fresh water as part of the juice line up. We find all the staff including Glen the owner very personable. It's location works for us.

I've stayed here several times for work in the last few years.
Rooms are ok but not as good as some of the photos would have you believe.
Breakfast was disappointing and staff were bored and disinterested with little motivation when the manager wasn't around.
It's a real shame as this place could be a gem of a hotel with the right person running it. 😐

We unfortunately stayed at this hotel for thankfully, just 1 night while travelling to Inverness. |The room was fine, clean and well appointed with very dismal views outside! The towels were very small and although clean, not big enough to get dry with after a shower. |Our main concern was the attitude of the manager when I approached him about the ground floor fire exit doors (by the downstairs toilets) being chained and padlocked. |He was very rude indeed. Not impressed. When I checked them the next morning they were wide open! |The evening meal was fine, not much for the price but it was cooked well. The breakfast was very poor, little choice and the cooked selection not worth the cost. Everything slid on the table as the mats wouldn’t grip and the glass plates would stay still when you tried to cut the food, annoying but not as important as the fire exit. |The only good point was a lovely young female member of the staff who was very nice and helpful. |We would not recommend a stay here. Could not book in till 3pm, not even get a drink and wait. Had to then amuse ourselves for an h hour by walking into Lockerbie.

Overall it's a good level Best Western...hotel could do with a coat of paint and tidy up outside. Lovely staff and great service. Room really needs further work...ease of use meant either take kettle off the drinks stand or don't have TV on? Bed way too soft...poor nights sleep therefore. However the en-suite was excellent. Dinner was super, good selection and excellent presentation/service. Breakfast again very good...hot items cooked fresh. Swift and polite check out.

Breakfast is distinctly average, coupled with being served tea with no cup, no milk and no spoons on the breakfast bar.
Dinner menus is typical fried pub food if that’s what you like it will be perfect
