It’s sad to see so many empty units considering the potential this place has, the owners need to breath some life into the centre and get more businesses onboard. Surely lowering the rent to incentivise business to move in is better than having shops sat empty for years?

I didn’t actually realise any Arndale Centres still existed, other than the big one in Manchester. I know they used to be a regional chain, but had assumed those days lay far in their past.

Anyway, here indeed is an Arndale Centre – it’s very small and, visually, very much stuck in the 1960s. A single low mall with a 90 degree turn at the midpoint – the shops inside are uninspiring – you have your Poundland etc. Useful if you’re here for your shopping, of less interest to the tourist.

Nothing really here to keep you occupied for more than, at most, 10 minutes.

There seems to be outrage in some other reviews at the lack of toilets – did malls this small ever offer public toilets? Where would they go – it’s not a very big place…

Burger King at one end, but it turns its back upon the mall and the connecting door was firmly locked – given the toilet was at that end of the shop, this is probably to keep out those other reviewers who spend their time hunting for one.. 😃

Potential to be a good shopping center, sadly reflective of Morecambe and other high streets in general. Empty units, charity shops, cheap shops and temporary/pop ups. It has a good Boots Pharmacy and store, Iceland, Timpsons, Works, Card Factory and Max Spielmann. Since being bought the centre isn't so well patrolled, only one, can't be asked security, with an increase in anti social behaviour and shop lifting. The centre is not so clean as it used to be and feels so more uninspiring. The closing of another unit (large Building society) will only be make the appeal, look and feel of the centre worse. The Gregs is often busy though... make of that what you will. There are two overly huge taxi ranks outside which took away what little disabled parking (on double yellow lines) was available near the main entrance.
It's not a must visit by any means, it's just some shops that are conveniently sited together under one roof.

Oh dear.... Poor old Morecambe town centre, sad as it seems, if it wasn't for this 70's lump in the middle it would have completely died! In fairness to the centre it's reasonably full of shops, but Iceland, Poundland, and other such high end stores. The centre was well maintained and clean, maybe a good place to take shelter if the weather turns?

It's OK, but very tired. Charity shops and discount stores. There is a Boots and Halifax bank. There is also a Gregs and a Burger King if you are hungry.

Unfortunately there's more shops have shut In The last few months I guess the rents must be massive to cover the costs and staffing

Tired and depressing shopping centre from a bygone era. Many empty units. Nothing of quality in there.
