I have stayed at the Bay on a previous occasion last September and really enjoyed it. |We booked for a 3 night stsy over the New Year period in a superior house overlooking the sea |The views were amazing and the accommodation was big and spacious. |However the home itself is in need of some TLC, sofa was old and dirty , carpets looked like they needed a deep clean , some radiators were rusty and peeling, the mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs. Such a shame as the home could be absolutely beautiful |Outside there is lots of dog faeces on the grassy area ( people just let there dogs run about off lead ) . Kids running around the site with duvets wrapped around them also kids running about on the sofas inside the pub ( parents just letting them do what they want ) |The Gym on site is good

We absolutely love it here!
There's very little internet and phone signal inside the beach huts which is great when wanting to completely switch off and relax.
Our favourite place to stay with the dogs, close to the beach and a fab walk up to filey front for fish and chips!
Always friendly staff and so welcoming.
Only downside is when we went in to the pub in the evening we were advised they weren't serving food during the week as they said it was too quiet so ended up going out to find a local takeaway. It would've been nice to have been made aware of this when we checked in so that we could plan ahead of time.
Other than that another fantastic stay and we'll be back again later in the year.

Please when booking the bay at Filey do not under any circumstances book through away resorts they are absolute garbage! |Book with a private host their attention to detail is much better. |Upon arriving to 26 sunrise drive we opened the door to instantly smell dog poo!|We walked in we couldn’t find any but the whole place was disgusting! |I do not live like this at home so don’t expect to pay to live in an absolute dump! |The walls & floors were filthy, radiators filthy, rusty & leaking red fluid in the living room. |There are no towels, cleaning products or toilet rolls supplied so we had to go straight to Tesco to buy some before I took my personal items in that hovel! |After cleaning it & packing away our personal items we looked for a hoover to go round the carpets again there isn’t one! Looked for an iron found an ironing board but no iron! |The washing machine was absolutely full of dog hairs and it stunk vile! |The bathroom is ready for a revamp there is no seal on the shower screen so the water puddles on the floor which is all water damaged.|The mattress on the bed is no good nor is there any mattress protectors! |We called the office regarding the leaking radiator to be told someone was one their way, nobody ever turned up! |The images that show this property on booking.com are nothing like this crack den this is false advertising! |Charging what they charge and offer this is unacceptable we have already complained and will seek legal advice if we fail to hear back from away resorts!

Stayed in a 2 bed apartment that was nice over christmas.
The bar was good and dog friendly.
Didn't eat there, but what I saw looked nice.
Nice walk to a great beach also dog friendly

I was intending to visit with my family but had a few questions before I booked. There was no contact email to be found on the website and the online chat was with a useless bot (I live in a place with very poor signal so could not phone). I pretended to already have a booking so I could speak to a real person on the online chat. She refused to answer any of my questions as I did not already hold a booking?! She gave me the office email which I never got a reply from. I reverted to booking.com to ask my questions. Only get 150 characters on there but squashed them in. The reply was totally unhelpful and didn't even address most of my questions. The answer about the hot tub isn't even right as every single accommodation lists a hot tub with an astrix saying only in certain accomodations! See my attached photo of my questions and the the answer. Thanks Filey Bay, you've certainly answered my question about whether to stay with you or not - I think not!

We have stayed at The Bay multiple times. We've booked through Away and also through third parties. This was by far the worst trip we have had. We booked the Comfort Cottage and it wasn't comfortable. It was like we'd been given the bare basics. There wasn't anything that made it comfortable, like cushions, throws and lamps. The sofa had rips in it. The paint was peeling off the furniture and it was scuffed on the walls. I think it was going for the shabby chic look, but it just looked shabby. This was the first time that we had to bring our own towels and that was the only thing we were told to bring, but there should have been a much longer list becaude there was more it didnt have than did have. There was no WiFi, which in 2024 I thought would be a given. We also had next to no phone signal. Next time we will be booking through a third party as we have never had a problem with them. ||Overall though we did have a great time. Filey is one of our favourite places. If it is your first time going I wouldn't recommend booking through Away as you might not want to go again.

Stayed previously in 19 Blue Anchor Road a Beach lodge but this time there were many faults. Clean and well equipped but needs lots of maintenence done. The drive was very slippy and uneven. The main door was really difficult to open and close. The toilet was leaking. The shower tiles were very mouldy grout. The blind had lots of mildew and mould on. The paintwork had lots of scuffs. The double mattress was very worn and uncomfortable. Just a few of the issues. Complained to reception but not really interested. Site seemed unwilling to invest in keeping properties up to good standards. Will not book here again. Very disappointed.

We are frequent visitors to the bay... Stayed 15 times in all accommodation. Our last visit was so much better than previous as we thought the accommodations needed updating and some TLC... Staff are always polite at reception and very easy check in... ideal base for visiting the lovely coast... Pub very expensive... can't wait to return.
