What a gem. My wife was keen to visit, reluctantly I agreed. Best decision I made. So much to see, original costumes covering fashion over the years. Quite nostalgic for the 50's, 60's & 70's in my case. Worth it to see some fabulous costumes from over the years covering all ages.

Absolutely lovely museum. The exhibitions are really delightful. However, the experience was severely marred by one utterly unpleasant and rude member of staff. She incorrectly charged us for snacks in the tearoom and then accused of us of failing to pay for visiting the museum! I produced the receipt to confirm that we had indeed paid and she still did not have the good grace to apologise for the mistake on her part. This was a shame as we had enjoyed our visit.
Future visitors please take note.

This is a gem of a museum in the heart of Georgian Blandford Forum. The collection of dress from the eighteenth century to 1990 is carefully and accessibly curated so that the visitor can get an insight in the history behind the garments selected for display. There is a very friendly and comfortable tea room to visit aftewards. Probably the most authentic Georgian style experience in this town.

What a lovely experience. I visited today with my sister-in-law who works in a museum in Berkshire. We were all very impressed. The tea room is lovely too.

We had a great visit here today. What a lovely little museum. So very interesting and unusual,
The ladies are so friendly and knowledgeable and the tea room with the beautiful China is gorgeous. Thanku for such a lovely visit. Definitely recommend

Lovely little museum, well presented with a tea shop inside. It's over two floors of a converted house. Most of the items were from a private collection. There is a lecture room and a children's dressing up room as well.

Lovely visit to this cute museum.
Very well presented and lots of info to read about the exhibits.
The lady who was selling the tickets was really friendly and invited us to stay for refreshment, in what looked like a very cosy tea room with some yummy cakes.
Unfortunately, we had not long had lunch but as we do not live far away, we will return for tea (and maybe another mosey around the museum again)!
Will recommend.
