What a discovery!
Kelly and Maisie made us so welcome to our tasting menu.
Like a sommelier of all things cheese Kelly gave the whole restaurant a short and informative introduction to some wholly unique produce. From nettle coated (only with may nettles- as they haven’t developed their sting by then) to flower encrusted (made by only women’s hands) ewe’s delicacies.
Topped off with free (my favourite flavour) samples throughout, I thoroughly recommend and would happily enjoy the experience again.

My husband, son and I had a wonderful experience at the Cheese Yard yesterday. We had been given Afternoon cheese as a gift and added on a Swiss mix raclette.
From the moment we walked in we were treated to a very informative and enjoyable experience in lovely, welcoming surroundings. My son was even given the chance to weigh, cut and wrap the cheese we bought to take home. We will be recommending it and.will definitely return. Thank you.

Me and my husband went to try the cheese board experience which was exceptional. We decided to choose our own cheese and the range and variety which they have got is incredible. The wine as well was wonderful and we were very impressed with the kind of cheeses you can find in there which are not very easy to find anywhere else.
The hostess were lovely, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the cheeses and the right wine which go well with it.
Absolutely an amazing experience, we will definitely going back again.

We visited The Cheese Yard for a raclette evening and it was delicious! My partner and I both chose the traditional Swiss raclette because we weren’t adventurous enough for the mixed, but traditional was fabulous for our tastes. The presentation was great and the quality of all of the accompaniments was excellent. The staff were lovely and welcoming.
Overall, a really enjoyable evening with a lovely atmosphere and great food. Can’t wait to come again.

We came to try the raclette, having never tried it before - a Christmas gift from our daughter. What a wonderful experience...bonus points for stocking English beer and being knowledgeable about it 🙂 We had the coffee - it came in a bucket - very welcome as it was minus 3 degrees!

There was plenty of food and we were offered more of everything.
Knowledge of the cheese was lovely, and the balance between leaving us to it and offering assitance was perfect. We really loved the look of the shop from the outside and in, and had we not visited so close to Christmas (still have leftovers), we'd have bought more cheese to take away
. As it is there's a piece of Lancashire in the fridge that we're excited to try when we're less full.

We visited The Cheese Yard for the first time this weekend for Afternoon Cheese. What a fantastic experience it was! Fabulous, cosy setting. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our selection of cheeses was beautifully served and explained to us before we tucked in. Don’t worry if you think there might not be enough crackers to share there’s plenty more provided. A wonderful couple of hours, would highly recommend and we will definitely be back 🧀💛

We had such a lovely afternoon, we both had the Afternoon Cheese experience. The customer service was amazing - they subbed blue cheese for another type, and were very knowledgeable about what they served. The wine was fantastic, and we will definitely be back!
