Me and my mate have just left The Crafty Cockney restaurant, Canvey Island. We've both agreed it was the best Pie n Mash We've eaten in a long while. Second to none on this island, without a doubt. Thanks very much.

Came in this morning with my mum in-law who lives on canvey and the best pie and mash and liquor I have had better than robins. In Basildon town centre will be back. Came back a second time and it should be called Tina turner’s as simply the best

The true quality of the pie mash and liquor is exactly what you'd get in any London location.
Yes they have chilli vinegar as well as ordinary vinegar.
The staff here are super friendly and make you feel like they already know you.
You may find that you have a short walk after parking as it's a bit restricted, but I usually find something within 200 yards.
The toilets here are spotlessly clean, as is everything here.
There is some outside seating available as well as a takeaway option if you require.
Prices are very competitive and they sell beer for the drinkers, personally tea goes best with pie and mash I reckon.
Once you've been here you'll stop going anywhere else as it's everything you'd expect from a pie and mash establishment.

Immediately decorated, plenty of seating. Food 10 out of 10. Pies were nicely filled , casings had a nice crust but still soft on the inside. Liqure was a bit thicker than most places ("a good thing"). Could not fault anything about the place or the intentive staff. Good value for money..All in all, Excellent

They don't make the pies here but they were very good and were fresh and meaty, the liquor had a strong parsley taste but over all it was a very nice pie and mash at a very good price especially for outside London. the shop was also very clean with friendly staff. well done.

I came here tonight as a bit of a mission really because hubby wanted pie and mash after visiting every one in Southend, Shoeburyness, Southchurch etc (our area was open). Determined to get pie and mash we found the only one open was Crafty Cockney, so off to Canvey we go (started our mission at 5.00 got there 7.25)
Told the lovely staff our story and they all said, one you try our pies you will be back. Drove home with said pie and mash and hubby tucked in
Omg he said, these pies... They are amazing, they are bloody delicious, in fact, best pies I think I have had.
So what started as a bit of a mission ended with with him very very happy and it seems, us having to drive to Canvey now for his pie and mash.
