Had a fantastic pub dinner here tonight. Very friendly, cordial service, welcoming to kids and all-round having a nice welcoming vibe. They are a great advert for traditional, well-thought out pub food. They also have good gluten-free options and are aware of the requirements for coeliacs.
Prices are OK for the area. The ale (from a local brewer) was truly delicious, they clearly know how to keep and serve it. Best to book ahead.

Stayed here for a couple of nights and it was good. |The room was nice and quiet considering it is a pub as well. A good shower with copious hot water and adequate facilities. No fridge in room but bar staff supplied a small thermos of milk to enable you to make drinks. The bed was very comfortable and spacious. Parking was free, too. |The restaurant is ok and he portions, generous. I was supposed to have crushed new potatoes, and although they were new potatoes, they had been fried as well! |There was a good choice for breakfast but lacked a good choice of fresh fruit. |The coffee was one of the best served in a pub.

Smaller pub so may get very busy at the weekend .
Only had one drink .
I had a Coors .
Partner had a half of cider
£8 and some change .
Reasonable priced .

Nine of us walked in on a Saturday afternoon. Pub quarter full. Waited at the ‘please wait to be seated’ sign. Asked the lady if she had a table for nine. She had a look around the pub, looked at her computer and said ‘no’ they couldn’t take us. There was no offer of we can do a four and a five table. Just a straight no. They must be an extremely successful pub to be turning down custom in an empty pub. Good luck to them.

Wonderful pub. 5 star!

We didn’t have a prior reservation however staff were able to get us a table after a short wait. Food was outstanding and staff were welcoming and attentive. As it was a birthday meal the staff very kindly put a candle in our desert and gave us a glass of Prosecco. I highly recommend this pub but would suggest booking a table first to make sure your not disappointed if it’s full.

A lovely overnight stay with great customer service...A good selection for breakfast is available til late; late check out ; being shown to the room, made all the difference ! Great location with private car parking.

The roast dinners were amazing! We were seated in our own room as a table for 14 including three small kids, perfect setting for us, making it really easy to keep them entertained without having to worry about anyone else in the room... 😃

Great rooms, food, atmosphere, service, what more can I say? If you are heading to the Cotswolds, The Fox is the perfect place to base yourself, we used it to tour lots of delightful and picturesque villages. Our room was really comfortable, the staff looked after us very well, the evening meals were delicious in a room filled with bonhomie and atmosphere and the breakfast was wonderful. As if that isn't enough, they have their own brewery. Stay there, you won't regret it.
