I had a wonderful visit the place itself was absolutely beautiful, made even better by the lovely weather that day. The staff were incredibly helpful and even offered a discount since the chapel was closed for maintenance. The views were stunning, especially the breathtaking sea view definitely a “wow” moment! The historical atmosphere really comes alive, especially with the old artillery on display. You can truly feel the stories of the past in every corner. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Me and Star had a great time at Tynemouth Priory and Castle. We enjoyed looking around the castle and seeing all it's history. We also saw some great views of Tynemouth and Tynemouths beach. It was a gorgeous day for a walk and seeing the Castle, especially with having our English Heritage Membership.

This castle is beautiful,in a stunning location, but certainly is not worth £9.50 to enter. I just couldn't warrant paying to see ruins like this and think it's a shame that beautiful historical places of natural beauty overcharge tourists to enter. It would be better if they asked for donations on the gate like other similar museums and castles do.

The castle and the view inside it is magnificent. A small hill to go to the top of castle to see the overall of castle and sea view makes it worth to do a little hiking. However, I think the ticket price is a little bit pricey.

We visited on a hot sunny day. It is an impressive piece of history and I really loved that a lot of it was preserved. I always find a sense of peace within these places and Tynemouth Priory and Castle was no difference. The staff were lovely and very accommodating, they were super dog friendly, which makes a lot of difference to us as we have two big dogs!
Once inside the information is good but not overloading. The view from the coastal side is stunning and just absolutely beautiful. We got some fantastic pictures. We really enjoyed visiting, the facilities were clean and the little shop is cute. We found a lovely nearby fish and chip shop and sat just outside the castle and finished our visit with these. I would imagine it'll be quite cold on a windy / overcast day due to being so close to the coast, but for us it was spectacularly sunny!
