Icl the uni doesn’t care about its students and only care for the money they bring. I think you can’t expect help especially when you are finishing your course and what actions to take next. That’s very confusing for a lot of people and I wish this help is extended to all students seriously and is followed up on so all students have an idea of what to do when they finish their course.

Horrible university. Pray that you wont have any severe mental health issues and need help from them. They will help you for a bit at the start but then they wont chase your case up so they will look for ways to make you go "voluntarily" for your "own good" either with malicious intense scrutiny or micromanagement. They are supposed to be smart people since they are scholars but alas, not once they asked me why i was doing certain things in a certain manner and went with their biases. They just hopped on their stupidly simple conclusions. They have no idea what duty of care means, they are just a bunch of academics that got plum in their positions and have no real world experience. It was the worse experience i had in my life and dealing with them after they deemed that i had to go was tiring. Im talking about coercion and manipulation within the whole department. The standards are low everywhere you look from the campus restaurants to management. Unprofessional and emotional. No wonder they are in dire financial straits. One of the biggest regrets of my life not looking for a more suitable university.

University of Essex in Colchester is not located right by the city center as their web pages luringly promise, however, it is located amidst beautiful nature with two lakes with fountains right on campus, ducks and squirrels as far as the eye can see, and very near a beautiful riverside walking path to the charming Wivenhoe. I am totally biased because it is my alma mater but I do love the place very much. What I like about studying here is that one is not just a number. All my professors know me by name and always ask how I am. This is not so at other universities. So this is my place to be.
