She is always quick to reply to queries and so patient. Things were changed several times until I was completely satisfied with the result. My book looks top class. I have an eBook and audiobook also being produced. Amy coordinated the process from beginning to end and works with a great team of illustrators too. I'm very happy. I have self-published a book and used the services of Maple Publishing and White Magic.
This was my first attempt at self-publishing and so I was in uncharted territory and cannot compare my experience with other publishers.
My book is called the ‘Queen’s Handbag’ and it’s aimed for 4-8 year old children.
I drafted the story during the pandemic and I also added a poem at the back entitled ‘Children in a Time Unprecedented’ as I was interested in how Covid 19 affected children and young people in the schools I taught in. My poem is my testimony to that time. I felt deeply it had to be documented. I also have a page which can be photocopied for children to interact with the theme of the story.
My journey with White Magic took longer than I expected but this was caused by delays on both sides. I worked with Vrinda initially and then Pam and they were both courteous and helpful but, of course with any project and relationship, there were ups and downs😊. However, they always responded efficiently and quickly to my requests and questions but I did need to ensure that I explained clearly what I wanted. Consequently, there was a lot of back and forth with ideas and requests and corrections on my part.
However, despite everything I eventually got the book I wanted and am happy with the end result.
Despite the problems and misunderstandings, I would recommend Maple Publishers and White Magic to others who are thinking of embarking on the publishing journey, and I will use them again.

This is my first time self-publishing a book. White Magic Studios you have done an absolutely amazing job of creating the perfect book cover and internal layout for my transformational memoir ‘From Fear To Freedom’ which represents my healing journey through ‘Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity’ and ‘Hodgkin’s Lymphoma’ cancer. I decided to go for Paperback, hardback and E-book formats. Initially, Vrinda helped me, then Amy. Both extremely helpful. Amy has been so understanding, kind, caring and patient through the whole process. She dealt with any queries promptly and efficiently, working along with The Team, especially when I had issues with my E-book layout. All was sorted, and they have now created me the perfect E-book I visualised, which I’m very proud of. Any alterations and adjustments which were required were carried out, they were very understanding and saw my vision. Although it has taken a little longer than anticipated to get to publication release, I’m so glad I chose White magic Studios for my self-publishing journey–I will be using them again with no hesitation.
